I admire UN leadership in bringing governments, private sector and society together to solve pressing environmental issues. As Environment Research Intern with UNEP RONA I have a unique opportunity to gain first hand experience in working for an intergovernmental organization. I work directly under the Regional Coordinator on preparation of UNEP’s flagship Global Environmental Outlook-5 Report, coordinating international meetings and teleconferences, and preparing minutes and follow up actions. Additionally, I attend Congressional hearings, conferences and seminars thus broadening my knowledge an experience in environmental field.

Currently I am finishing my Masters in Environmental Sciences and Policy at Johns Hopkins University. It is my dream and aspiration to play a role in the process of creating a socially just and environmentally sustainable global society. This internship has brought me together with other like-minded people and encouraged me to make solving global environmental issues not only a personal dream but also a professional aspiration.
